Our Legacy and Evolution

Early 1900s
Drop Forge Co. was founded in 1916 when Ladish took over majority share. Increasing the number of hammers fueled growth through the 1920s, paving the way for our progress.
The 1930s
WWII came and the need for pipe flanges & aircraft parts increased for the aviation industry. Ladish was willing & ready for our country!
The 1950s
During the era of the Cuban missile crisis, forging companies suffered many losses and Ladish was no exception. However, in true Ladish form, expansion continued when the brand new Kentucky division began operation. In hopes of breaking into the corrosion-resistant valve market, Ladish had purchased Hasco Valve of Milwaukee in the mid-1950s.
The 2000s
Ladish entered into the cast steel valves after the purchase of Hasco. A devastating flood then forced a move from KY to TX.
